Assembly instructions
1. On used plastics it is necessary to remove the old stickers, clean the surface with anti-silicone which is found in all paint shops (DO NOT USE thinner or acetone), wash well with soap and water and then dry perfectly.
2. On new plastics it is in any case necessary to wash the plastics with soap and water and dry them perfectly to remove oil residues from industrial processing.
3. In winter, apply the adhesive graphics at an ambient temperature as close to 20° as possible. It would be perfect at home.
4. Once the adhesive graphics have been applied to the relevant support, you can help yourself with a hairdryer in the most critical points (corners, folds, etc.), but be careful to keep the temperature of the hairdryer low and not to overdo it, because overheating the graphics leads to deterioration of the glue . Then heat just enough to soften at the critical point.
5. Once the graphics have been applied, check that there are no bubbles or bulges (you can use a plastic spatula without sharp edges and slowly bring the bubble outwards) check that the edges and folds are perfectly positioned, passing more times a finger over the sticker.
ADVICE
1. Leave the plastic with the graphics applied at least 24 hours at a temperature above 20° before using them. This is to give the adhesive time to complete the adhesion process and take the shape of the plastic support. Keep in mind that stickers always have a memory effect and tend to return to their original shape, i.e. flat, so every now and then pass your hand over the graphics, pressing lightly to maintain the shape of the plastic support.
2. Many customers prefer to apply the graphics with the plastics mounted on the motorbike, as they remain in position... it is practically as if you had an assistant holding the plastic in place, so you have two hands free to maneuver the graphics to be applied. It is perhaps the best method to apply them, except when the ambient temperature is low like in winter. In that case it is always better to apply the graphics at home.
3. We absolutely advise against the use of soap and water or other measures to ensure that in the event of bad or incorrect application the graphics can be easily repositioned. We know that these operations could help but they compromise the correct adhesion of the adhesive to the support by creating bubbles and detachments quite quickly. All you need is calm and a little experience
GOOD WORK!
