Assembly instructions

Graphics for motocross and road motorcycles are installed differently. Choose the correct guide before starting and check that the kit matches the motorcycle’s make, model, year, and plastics or fairings.

Installing a motocross kit

Do not use water or application solution with these kits: they must be applied dry.

1. Prepare the plastics. Remove the old stickers. Wash used or new plastics with water and soap, remove dirt and residue, and dry them completely. Do not use thinner or acetone.
2. Work in a temperate environment. If it is cold, bring the plastics and graphics into a room at around 20 °C before starting.
3. Test the positioning. Place the graphic on the plastic without removing the backing paper. Use holes, edges, and contours as reference points.
4. Apply dry. Peel back the backing paper a little at a time. Start with the flattest section and work toward curves and edges, pressing evenly with a soft squeegee.
5. Finish the edges. In difficult areas, warm the graphic gently with a hair dryer without overheating or stretching it. Press the corners and edges firmly.
6. Check the result. Check for any bubbles and inspect the edges. Let the kit rest for at least 24 hours in a temperate environment, then check it again before use.

Installing a road motorcycle kit

These instructions apply to graphics for the fairings of road, naked, sport, and adventure motorcycles. The material can be applied dry or wet.

1. Prepare the fairings. Remove any old stickers and residue. Wash and dry the surface; it must be clean and free of waxes or contaminants. Avoid using thinner and acetone on painted parts. Do not apply to fresh paint.
2. Check the shape and position. Before removing the backing paper, test each piece on the fairing and check the edges, openings, and alignment.
3. If you choose dry application, peel back a small section of the adhesive, secure the first point, and gradually work from the center outward with a soft squeegee.
4. If you choose wet application, lightly mist the surface with a solution of water and a minimal amount of mild soap. Position the graphic and use overlapping strokes with the squeegee from the center toward the edges to expel the solution. Pay particular attention to curves and edges.
5. Finish and check. Use moderate heat only where needed to follow the shapes, without overheating or stretching the material. Press the edges, check that no moisture remains, and inspect the graphic again after 24 hours before riding the motorcycle.
